Just this week Marli has seemed to be EATING her food - not just tasting it a few times...pumpkin muffin and guac at Grammy's (plus celery to gnaw on...)...
Tomato soup in a sippy (BRILLIANT after last week's tomato soup splatters - thanks for the recommendation, Grammy!)...
Banana, eggs, toast...
Chocolate sharing with daddy...
Strawberries and preloaded spoons with applesauce and greek yogurt mixed with chia seeds...
BACON at Cracker Barrel with Nana, Pop, Grammy, Charley, and Mckenzie clan...she LOVED THE BACON!
And ice cream sharing of course!
Running after Marli is down for the night...half marathon next month!
And on weekends I do a longer run outside while Marli gets a date with daddy! This week they went on a field trip to Cabela's and Marli LOVED the taxidermy and fish and water feature...
AND he got to clean up a MAJOR BLOWOUT in the Cabela's parking lot - GO DAD!
Experiencing rain...
Okay HUGE this week...after going several weeks with Marli waking nearly EVERY HOUR and needing to be nursed back to sleep, it became apparent that I was getting VERY PROFICIENT at HOT MESS...
I've read all the books, taken classes at school, read countless articles online...was feeling overwhelmed by it all...so Evan and I decided to pay a little bit of money for a sleep "program" where I could follow exactly what SOMEONE ELSE was telling me to do. It involved letting Marli fuss for a few minutes at a time in her crib (with me "popping in" every so often), which was hard in the beginning. BUT OH MY GOSH.
WHY I HAVEN'T DONE THIS SOONER, I DON'T KNOW.
It hasn't even been a week, and last night Marli slept from 7:30pm to 7am last night. WHAAAA?!! She woke once around 5:30 and fussed for a few minutes, but fell right back to sleep without me going in...
I NEED TO DO THIS SOONER NEXT TIME. I BELIEVE IN SLEEP!!
Program is called Taking Cara Babies...and I LOVE IT. Want to remember for future. Because I just can't be the best version of myself (and neither can Marli!) when we're waking 20 times at night.
Met up with military recruiters to talk about options for paying for medical school. LOTS to think about... with a date night afterwards!
Dinner, and Costco aisle roaming...
CONFERENCE WEEKEND!! Some big changes included...
- TWO HOUR CHURCH! Done in an attempt to come closer to a "home-centered Church, supported by what happens inside our ward."
- President Nelson emphasized at length the importance of using the Church's full name.
- TWELVE new temples announced!!

Too much fun! Marli LOVED watching the pom-poms in the stands, so cousin Taylor and Henry went and asked if they could buy a stranger's for $1 for her. SPOILED BABY!
Had Grammy and Charley over for dinner and games Sunday evening - missed Grandpa who was away for work. Played some card games with Halloween candy stakes!
OFFICIALLY moving across FLOORS...so many mixed emotions about this! haha!
