Dot-dot tutus, General Conference, Dancing all the day!

Not sure what Marli or I are going to do when we're hanging out by ourselves in North Carolina...We LOVE this little babe!
(Hearts are for confidentiality)

My mom made Charley a "sponge" brownie for April Fool's Day...and we got to eat the REAL ones!

I told her to smile...and all of a sudden she looks 8.

Best entertainment...She got stuck in this bucket.

I mean...is there anything more DREAMY?!

Spaghetti and meatballs with olives...she dug through the pasta for the meat chunks

Evan has had a surprise date planned for MONTHS...turns out it was the Alladin Broadway play! It was SO SO SO SO GOOD!! Besides The Wizard of Oz play (where he was the tin man), this was his first play - he LOVED it, too!

This happens at a much higher frequency than I would care for...

Marli thinks it's cool because it's supposed to be for the little baby...ha!

Had to run a few errands with Marli on Friday...this was her face when she was finally reunited with her "Bub." And yes. We did open our granola bars while shopping - it was necessary.

Oh weekends...you are my favorite.

Practicing with her fork!

Just chillin...

Our friend asked if Marli would be a brand rep ambassador for her brand new etsy shop selling "dot dot tutus" and they are SO CUTE. We had a little too much fun with pictures to use in her advertising...
(Here's her website!: https://www.etsy.com/shop/thedotdotshop

AAAAAAAND! It was one of our favorite weekends ever...GENERAL CONFERENCE.

Got out for a burger date between sessions and OH MY GOSH the Peanut Butter Bacon Burger is the stuff dreams are made of. SO GOOD. Marli came for the fries. :)

Spent some time with our King clan!

Some of my favorite quotes from this Conference that I want to remember:

"When expectations overwhelm us, we can step back and ask Heavenly Father what to let go of. Part of our life experience is knowing what NOT to do."
(Sharon L. Eubank)

"No matter what, no matter where, in Christ and through Christ, there is ALWAYS hope."
(Elder Kyle S. Mckay)

"As for punctuality, a late pass will always be lovingly granted to those blessed mother who, with children and Cheerios and diaper bags trailing in marvelous disarray, are lucky to have made it to church at all..."
 (Jeffrey R. Holland)

I felt like he was talking directly to ME and my flustered, horn head, trying to remember even ONE thing that happens at church...ha!

Also. Marli "sang" during several of the songs, and even signed for "more" at the end of some - without any direction from us! I caught a super short clip - it was SO sweet.

Another sweet thing: she decided randomly to blow kisses to President Eyring when he was speaking.

She did this on her own...

This picture is terrible quality because it was taken in SUPER dim light...tried to capture Marli holding her "Bub" bunny out to me, because that's how she's been waking us lately...

See the resemblance?? Thanks, GRAMMY!
This is Marli's classic face lately.

Jack and Marli are getting to be better buds and WE SO NEED A DOG!!!! I plan to make the apartment manager in NC love us so much that he makes a pet exception for us...

Her kisses are second only to her daddy's...

Discovered a new favorite food this week by accident (leftover from Charley & friend's snack) = cheese and pastrami quesadilla!

Finished our AMAZING Conference weekend with dessert and Rook at Evan's parents - ready for Riley and Brandon to get back to we can play with them - I think they might be the only other couple that will play with us! Ha!

Aunt B sent this screenshot to me. Perhaps the knowledge that I'm growing GENIUSES will help me get through my next pregnancy...

Not pictured:

  • After nursing in the morning, Marli normally wakes up Evan, and Evan gives me a kiss. The other morning, Evan and I exchanged a peck or two, Marli watching intently. Then she leaned in, and gave me a kiss. Then, she leaned in to give Evan a kiss, and before she even connected with his lips, she backed away, and said, "GUCK!" with a disgusted look on her face! Morning breath afflicts the best of us! Haha!

  • Getting to see several of our friends this week! Friends truly make life so, so much brighter.

  • MY PLANE IS BOOKED TO NORTH CAROLINA. Marli and I leave on July 4th! Anyone wanna come?! I'm totally serious. Like...totally. Please let me know.

  • Newsies play at the high school with parents and Charley. SO SO good - so much talent! I SO wish there would have been more musical opportunities when I had gone to high school

AAAAAAAND we'll just be over here, still dancing at almost every meal...

Hope y'all have a great week!
