Weekly Update - Starting to Stand, WHAT A HAM, Front Toofers

Marli's FINALLY discovering the deliciousness behind ketchup...not just it's smear-ability... (Also...why do ACTUAL shirts make babies look 7 years old?!)

Highlight of my week - my dear friend Mica took me out for a late birthday lunch. She's the real deal, folks. She's one of those friends that are like...legitimately in the cheering section of your life, you know? I love and look up to you, lady.

Pure pride and joy.

ANYONE ELSE?! November and December were like a week...

Convinced that Killer Burger is one of Evan's love languages... maybe Marli's, too?!

Happiness is...a bowl of avocado.

After taking some clothes to be donated (#thanksMarieKondo), Grammy took us to lunch! Thai food and a drink with magic ball things. So fun and delish. I'm going to miss being able to just, you know, casually stop for lunch with my mom once we're in NORTH CAROLINA. Thanks for the treat, mom!

We missed story time this week, so we tried to make up for it by going later and tasting the toys and pulling books off the shelves.

Grandpa was so nice to share his strawberry yogurt drink...strawberries and strawberry flavored things are definitely a favorite for this munchkin.

Tried Trader Joe's cauliflower gnocchi this week, and it PASSED!

Jack's basketball game and time with cousins...Jack has definitely passed me up in height now. Evan's thinking he might pass HIM up in a few years...

WHAT A CHARACTER! Also. She loves ham, just like her daddy. I seriously wonder if there will EVER be a day when Evan stops requesting a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch...

No explanation needed. I will never get sick of this sound. Can you see her two front teeth starting to poke through!?

NOT PICTURED:
  • Dinner at Country Club with Dad, Mom, Charley. SO fancy and SO delicious! Tried crab meat FROM AN ACTUAL CRAB LEG for the first time ever.
  • Watched a wee baby for a day as a trial run to see if I can handle watching her AND Marli as a nanny job...any thoughts or advice is welcome!
  • Just a friendly PSA...

Weekly Update - LOVA BLANKIEEE, Escaping Charley, Time w/ Old Friends

Started our week in one of the greatest ways possible - seeing Mckenzie and her sweet Penny!

Thanks for capturing, Grammy! Marli LOVES bubbles. She's starting to say "bub" when we play with them with her.

We LOVE oranges around here! She ate THROUGH the peel to get to the goodness!

Storytime again! How we LOVE this story time lady. She deals with a lot of little crazies!

Got together with our dear friends Jordan and Carly. Watched a Spanish project we made our freshman year of high school and played Ticket to Ride. So grateful for friends that we can get together with and just have FUN no matter how long it's been...

Decided she'd help herself to a snack while shopping... (PSA - WALMART NOW CARRIES WHOLE MILK YOGURT!!!!)

Pretty sure we need this...Evan and I have named our sweet little car "Dave" for this very reason! It has served us SO WELL.

Marli sleeps with this blanket from Sister Knudsen and another one Nana and SHE LOVES THEM BOTH SO MUCH! I lay her in her crib fully awake and she waves bye-bye, moves so her face is touching one of these blankets, and goes to sleep! No crying or anything...!

Breakfast at Babica Hen Cafe with some of our favorite people in the world - Jordan and Paige. Wish we could be in the same city again... I had the Banana Chocolate Crunch Waffle and the Lemon Berry Almond Crunch Waffle and Evan had the Corned Beef Hash and WE WILL BE BACK. SO GOOD.

Ryker's baptism! Of course these were the only pictures I got...oops

Blueberry yogurt facials

Marli has been so much more interactive lately...here Charley is singing "Baby Shark" to her...

RUN AWAAAAYY!!!!!!

I have several foods on my bucketlist of things I want to master...and biscuits are one of them. The recipe in Joanna Gaines' cookbook is pretty good! Tried with homemade sausage gravy...figure I'd better get a head start on southern cookin! Haha

HAPPY MLK DAY!!!!

Weekly Update - Marie Kondo, Baby Shark, Magnolia Story

After reading a book that apparently described a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in amazing detail, Charley HAD to have one. Made me remember a time when I was recovering from the stomach flu and read about a boy eating potato chips in a book, and just NEEDED chips afterwards!

Think she's a fan of the new Costco cave man granola bars?! I like them frozen....mmmmmm.....

I could be an ad for hairspray WITHOUT ANY PRODUCT IN THESE HAIR WINGS! SERIOUSLY?! (SO grateful for apps like Marco Polo that allow me to talk to dear friends lately...makes me feel better knowing that I can still stay connected to those I love when we're way over on the other side of the COUNTRY...).

Baby story time! So joyful to see our friends Mica and Avalie too! (Yes, Marli is the one kneeling directly next to the book the librarian is holding...I wonder where she gets her love for books?! haha!)

I love Costco. And Target. And when Costco and Target are on the same street. Genius.

SO SURREAL to be able to share toys that I played with as a child with MY baby...

Anyone else get hooked on the Marie Kondo Netflix series?! I've only watched one episode so far...half of me is SO READY to get rid of more stuff...and the other half is ECSTATIC about the possibility of finding more treasures at Value Village! hahahahaha

Got to watch Jack play basketball...He's the same height as his coach, and officially taller than me!

Spent some time visiting with Kaci...

Red Robin family date!

Mashed potato beater licking! mmmmmmmmm thanks Grammy!

Thanks Tanner...this is OFFICIALLY HER FAVORITE SONG EVER

NOT PICTURED:

  • Winter semester online courses started for Evan! I think he's going to attempt Anatomy and Physiology online, which should be interesting...
  • Coffee/hot chocolate date with our new [Winco] friends! We feel like we hit the jackpot any time we make friends where Evan gets along with the husband as much as I get along with the wife...or vice versa. :) We're excited to get to know them better.
  • Getting together with Jordan, his cute wife Carly and Darcy! We love catching up with old friends.
  • Dad had his surgeries. Praying for his speedy recovery!
  • Started reading the 5th Harry Potter to Charley, and Evan's not mad about that (he listens too haha). Also almost finished up reading Evan (and my mom here and there) The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines. We LOVE THEM and their story.
