Weekly Update - WE HAVE A TOOTH!, Library Fun, King Kiddos

First of all...WHY DO I HAVE AN INTENSE DESIRE TO BITE THIS FACE?!

Grammy surprised us with a visit this week! We strolled the isles of Trader Joes where she treated us to some yummy lunch, and we learned that PUMPKIN EVERYTHING IS ON IT'S WAY!

Spent some time at Grammy's and learned Marli LOVES PEARS! And grabbing Charley's face.

Planking and scooting EVERYWHERE.

Tried pizza this week! 

Marli is OFFICIALLY CUTTING A TOOTH! This has me feeling ALL THE FEELINGS...Excitement, disbelief...and mostly exhaustion because teething = frequent night wakings.

BEYOND GRATEFUL for friends like Mica and her Avalie who hang out with us, despite our obvious sluggishness. We walked to the Tigard library and got there right before storytime! MOM WIN.

We were all a little pooped by the end...

Broke in the Winco bathroom with a MASSIVE BLOWOUT

Had to talk to Nana on the phone about something, and her voice TOTALLY chilled out a tired Marli. It seems even Nana's VOICE on the other end of a phone can help promote sleep...not just her log home on the lake...haha!

With a couple hard days this week, want to remember how grateful I am for Evan...who tirelessly shows up for us girls, no matter how flippant we are sometimes haha. Promises to help "beat the day up when he gets home..." Love him.

Saturday we got to spend ALL DAY with some of my favorite children. Brad worked and Kaci was living her best life KILLING IT at a Cross-fit competition. My heart could burst I love these people so! 

Lazy Sunday of eating and naps and walks before Evan's gone for a few days. Sundays are my favorite.

Weekly update - New Foods, Scooting Baby, Nana Shenanigans

Started the week off solidly with some PEANUT BUTTER! And sour cream of course of course.


Value Village is an ENTIRELY different experience when Grammy can't come...and not just because we miss her. We pretty much camp out in the handicap dressing room...

Freshly bathed babies are THE BEST.

Snuck out for a Thursday night date to Bailey's Burgers in downtown Tigard. I think it was a little past someone's bedtime...

The days of sneaking behind Marli while she's laying down are quickly coming to a close...


Evan got to go to UT for the wedding of one of his mission companions this weekend!

He didn't know until the NIGHT BEFORE the wedding that he was supposed to wear navy pants and brown shoes...he brought his gray suit and black shoes! Sooooo he went to over 12 stores in search of size 15 dress shoes...when there were only 20 minutes left to get to the sealing, he settled for size 13...

Poor squished toes! But isn't he HANDSOME?!

With Evan gone, and my family gone to drop off Riley at BYU, I set off for the coast!

WIDE AWAKE!! Incredibly, we made it without stopping once...And on Labor Day weekend, too!

MADE IT!! Sitting so big!

And a plethora of spoons for the princess to throw on the floor in turns.. Ha!

Instead of using his walker, Pop got his exercise with Marli's stroller! Think this little one is BELOVED or what??




Evan was able to join in the fun after church on Sunday. Just in time for spaghetti feasting!

If I could be any animal in the world, I'd be a deer. That lived at Nana's. HANDS DOWN.

On Monday we checked out the sales at the mall... Then we FINALLY got into J's Fish and Chips. Brought some back to Nan's to share and IT SO LIVED UP TO THE HYPE AND WE WILL BE BACK.


Didn't have as much luck on our way home as we did on the way there. AWFUL traffic, and Marli made it clear how mad he was about leaving Nan and Pop's...after pulling over a few times to reassure her that we'd be seeing them again (one of which involved her peeing all over the truck seat while Evan was changing her) we stopped at the casino. Ice cream sharing for dinner, and driving in lots of circles in the parking lot! Haha!

Now to just catch up on laundry...if that's even a thing...? Haha
